LAB-GROWN DIAMONDS
Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. A lab-grown diamond has the same chemical, physical and optical properties as a mined diamond, with the same sparkle, fire and hardness. The only difference is where it was formed. To the eye, the two cannot be told apart.
Does Gleam Adorn sell mined diamonds or moissanite?
No. Every diamond we sell is lab-grown, so you never have to guess what you are buying. We do not sell mined diamonds, moissanite or diamond look-alikes.
Are your diamonds certified?
Yes. Our center diamonds are graded by IGI, an independent diamond grading laboratory, and your grading report is sent with your order.
What does the grading report tell me?
It records your diamond's cut, color, clarity and carat weight, along with its measurements and a unique report number. It is your independent proof of exactly what you bought, so keep it somewhere safe.
Will my lab-grown diamond fade, cloud or change over time?
No. A lab-grown diamond is as hard and as lasting as a mined diamond. Its sparkle does not fade. Like any diamond, it simply needs a clean now and then to look its best.
Why do lab-grown diamonds cost less than mined diamonds?
Because they do not need to be mined. The supply chain is shorter, so you get a larger or finer diamond for the same budget. We price ours honestly, without the heavy markups common in fine jewelry.
Can I choose the shape and size of my diamond?
Yes. Each design shows the shapes and carat sizes available. If you would like a shape or size that is not listed, tell us and our design team will help. Please note that a change beyond the listed options is treated as a custom order.
GOLD & CRAFTMANSHIP
Which metals do you offer?
We work in 10k, 14k and 18k pure gold, in white, yellow and rose color tone.
Is your jewelry solid gold or gold plated?
Solid gold, always. We never use gold plating over a cheaper metal, and every piece is hallmarked with its gold purity.
What is the difference between 10k, 14k and 18k gold?
The number shows how much pure gold is in the metal. 18k has the most gold and the richest color. 14k balances color and strength, which makes it the most popular choice for rings worn every day. 10k is the most durable and the most affordable.
Is your white gold rhodium plated?
Yes. White gold is finished with a layer of rhodium to give it a bright white shine. This layer wears off naturally over time, and re-plating is available as a paid service.
Who makes your jewelry?
We do. Every Gleam Adorn piece is made in our own workshop by our in-house team, not by outside suppliers. That is how we control the quality of each piece and deliver it on time.
Is every piece made to order?
Yes. Your piece is made for you in your chosen ring size, diamond and gold after you place your order.
Will my piece look exactly like the photos?
We work hard to show every piece accurately. Because each one is handmade, very small differences in finish or metal weight are normal, and colors can look slightly different from one screen to another.
ORDERING & PAYMENT
How long does it take to make my piece?
About 2 to 3 weeks from the day you order. Delivery then takes 7 to 10 days after your piece ships.
I need my ring by a certain date. Can you help?
Tell us before you order at support@gleamadorn.com. We will tell you honestly whether we can meet your date.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Contact us as soon as you can. Changes are usually possible before production begins. Once production has started, a change restarts the production time.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes. You can cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of ordering. After that, production has usually begun, and a cancellation fee of 30% of the order value applies. Custom designs cannot be cancelled once you have approved the design.
Will I receive updates on my order?
Yes. You will receive an email when we receive your order and another, with a tracking number, when it ships. For an update at any other time, email us with your order number.
Are your prices negotiable?
No. We price every piece honestly from the start, so there is no hidden margin to bargain away. Any current offers are shown on the site.
Can I buy several pieces to compare and return the rest?
Because every piece is made to order for you, we ask that you do not order several pieces to compare. A restocking fee applies to returns that are not related to quality. Our home ring try-on is the better way to decide.
CUSTOM DESIGN & HOME TRY-ON
Do you offer fully custom designs?
Yes. Start with one of our designs and make it yours, or start from scratch with a sketch, a photo or just an idea. We will work with you until the design is exactly right.
How does the custom design process work?
Fill in our custom design form and our team replies within 48 hours with ideas and an estimate. We then send you a digital preview, which you can change as many times as you like. Once you approve it and pay, we make your piece and ship it to you.
How long does the custom process take?
Around 4 to 6 weeks from your first design to delivery, and longer for more complex pieces.
Can I return or exchange a custom design?
No. Custom pieces are one of a kind and made only for you, so they cannot be returned or exchanged. They are still covered by our limited lifetime warranty.
Can I change the center stone on an existing Gleam Adorn design?
Yes. We are happy to adapt any design to the center stone you have in mind. This is treated as a custom order and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Can I use my own stone?
Yes. We need the exact measurements of your stone before we create or adapt a design, and you are welcome to send it to us to be measured. If a stone has to be removed from an existing piece of jewelry, we send that piece back to you.
Can you customize pieces other than engagement rings?
Yes. We can custom design most jewelry pieces. Contact our custom team to talk it through.
What is the home ring try-on?
For $129, we send a try-on version of any design to your door, so you can see how it looks on your hand before you order.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Is shipping free?
Yes. Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum spend.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Yes. We deliver to most countries. If your country is not available at checkout, email us and we will tell you whether we can arrange delivery.
Will I have to pay duties or taxes when my order arrives?
No. We pay the import duties and import taxes on your order. Sales tax that we are required to collect is shown at checkout before you pay. If you are ever asked to pay on delivery, do not refuse the parcel. Email us a photo of the request and we will settle it.
How long does delivery take?
Your piece takes about 2 to 3 weeks to make, then 7 to 10 days to reach you after it ships.
Is the packaging discreet?
Yes. Your order arrives in plain outer packaging that gives no hint of what is inside, so your surprise stays a surprise.
Can I change my delivery address?
Yes, before your order ships. Email us and we will update it free of charge. For insurance reasons, we cannot redirect a parcel once it has shipped.
Do you deliver to PO boxes?
No. For security, we deliver only to a home or business address where someone can sign.
What if my order is lost or arrives damaged?
You are covered. Email us within 7 days with your order number and photos, and we will replace your order or refund you.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
What is your return policy?
You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. The piece must be unworn and in its original condition, with its box, packaging, tags and grading report.
Is there a restocking fee?
Yes. Because every piece is made to order in your size, diamond and gold, a 30% restocking fee applies to returns that are not related to manufacturing quality. No fee applies if your piece arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered.
Which items cannot be returned?
Custom designs, engraved or personalized pieces, made-to-order eternity bands, and pieces that have been resized, altered, worn or damaged.
How do I start a return?
Email support@gleamadorn.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number. We will send a return authorization and instructions. Please do not send anything back before you hear from us.
Who pays for return shipping?
We do, if your piece is damaged, defective or not what you ordered. If you have changed your mind, return shipping is yours to pay, and the piece must be sent insured and tracked.
When will I receive my refund?
We inspect your return within 3 to 5 business days of receiving it. Approved refunds are sent to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.
Can I exchange my piece?
Yes, once per piece, within 30 days of delivery. A 20% restocking fee is deducted from the price you paid, and the balance goes toward your new piece.
What if my piece arrives damaged or is not what I ordered?
Email us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will repair it, replace it or refund you in full, and we will cover the shipping.
RING SIZING & RESIZING
How do I find my ring size?
The most reliable way is to have your finger measured by a local jeweler, at the end of the day when your fingers are at their largest. Measure for the exact finger the ring will be worn on.
What if I am buying a surprise ring and do not know the size?
Borrow a ring your partner already wears on the same finger and have a jeweler measure it. If you are still unsure, choose slightly larger, since a ring is easier to make smaller. One resizing is free within your first year.
What if I order the wrong size?
We offer one free resizing within 1 year of delivery, for a change of up to one full size larger or smaller.
Which rings cannot be resized?
Full eternity bands, rings with diamonds or a pattern along most of the band, rings with detail running around the full band, intricate band designs, and rings where the band holds the stones in place. For these designs, we help you exchange the ring for the correct size under our exchange terms.
Who pays for shipping when I send my ring for resizing?
You pay for insured shipping to us, and we pay for insured shipping back to you.
Can another jeweler resize my ring?
Please contact us first. Resizing or any other work by another jeweler ends your warranty.
WARRANTY, REPAIRS & CARE
Do you offer a lifetime warranty?
Yes. Every Gleam Adorn piece comes with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, for as long as you own it.
What does the warranty cover?
Faults in materials and workmanship, such as a setting that was not properly secured, a small accent diamond that comes loose because of a setting fault, or a break caused by a casting fault.
What is not covered?
Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, fading of white gold plating, loss or theft, damage from chemicals or heat, and loss of the center diamond unless it was caused by a manufacturing fault. We recommend insuring your jewelry.
Do you offer cleaning and inspection?
Yes, free for as long as you own your piece. This includes an inspection of the settings, professional cleaning and polishing, and tightening of loose prongs. You pay for shipping for both ways.
How do I request a repair?
Email support@gleamadorn.com with your order number, a short description and clear photos. We will reply with the next steps. Please do not send your piece before you hear from us.
How long do repairs take?
Usually 2 to 3 weeks from the day we receive your piece, plus shipping time.
Will a repair by another jeweler affect my warranty?
Yes. Any repair, resizing, polishing or alteration by another jeweler ends the warranty. Please contact us first.
How should I care for my jewelry?
Clean it gently with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, and store it on its own so it does not scratch. Take it off before swimming, cleaning, exercising or applying lotion and perfume.
How often should my ring be checked?
Once a year is ideal for a ring worn every day. A quick check keeps every stone secure.
